Ray Robles

Competition Team Coach & Assistant Director

Ray started his journey in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA back in 1999. He has trained under former UFC fighters and legendary Jiu Jitsu competitors but didn’t find a true home until he met Professor Jonathan Burke in January 2006. Since that time Ray has had the opportunity to teach Jiu Jitsu to both adults and kids at 6 Levels in Orlando, as well as overseas in Europe. He has been an active member of the sport Jiu Jitsu community as well, as an IBJJF competitor under 'Team Royce Gracie', and in his role as a referee, head official, and tournament director for multiple years.

In December 2014, Ray was able to achieve a longtime personal goal by achieving the rank of black belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu. He is proud and honored to be one of Professor Burke’s first 3 black belts. Ray is the Head Coach of 6 Levels Competition Team, the Assistant Director of the Youth/Teens Program, and teaches adult Gi, no Gi, and self-defense classes at 6 Levels. He has taught numerous competition seminars in multiple states, self-defense classes to kids and adults throughout Central Florida, and has used the knowledge he’s received to train event and nightclub security teams. Ray is passionate about the art of Jiu Jitsu. Whether your goal is to become a professional fighter, competitive grappling champion, or to simply enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, and the confidence in knowing that you can defend yourself with Jiu Jitsu, he will happily assist you in achieving your goals.
